This is the second chapter narrated by Maria Theresa. Has she matured? How has she stayed the same as she's aged? In what way does she seem similar in character? What do you think of her motivations for joining the revolution?
Here's Vicky's comment: Hey Mr. Anderson I didn't see in the blog to post for ch. 7 so I decide to email you my response.
"I want to know things I don't even know what they are. But I could be happy without answers if I had someone to love"(p.122)
This quote seem intresting to me in how Teresa dose only care about love which he was similarly to her sisters. Why would having love make a person happy that made think because if you don't have love would that make a person miserable then.
"i am so hoping that now Minerva have found a special someone, she'll settle down" (pg 123).
this quote was interesting to me graving my attention because it seems that once minerve finds true love then she will change but there is times that a female wont change even if they found that special one. i agree with you Mr. Anderson about the response to the qoute because without love then somethimes your life is sad you need that special one by your side. In many ways Mate has matured because she chose to continue to stusy. But, she is also as frivolous as ever because she is still always worring about finding a man. "Then he asked me the strangest thing. Was i Mariposa's little sister?" (141) I chose this because it made me understand were the title came from (mariposa=butterfly)and because I think it's a forshadowing of what's to come later on. I know ita has to do with the rebellion. Celia
(122) I have been awful really. This quote is interesting because it seems she is worried about something but overall I think Minerva is mature and I think she has aged alot over the years.
