This quote is interesting in how Minerva has no clue what she wants romance or revolution. I think that life just decides for you so she shouldn't worry if she can't find love yet.
Now Minerva is disappoint on his dad and he ask for respect but he just lost it from her.Then Minerva ends meeting her dad other family, so her father gets caught.
"papa hadnt broke up with this women but merely moved her off the grounds and into town " (91) this quote was significant because manerva dad has another female besides her mother. there relationship changes between them is not how it used to be. minerva dad becomes rich and now he gets invited to important places valeria rico
Minerva's view of her father changes in that she begins to see him as a man rather than an idol. What I mean by that is that after she learns that he has a second family she loses all awe of him and sees that he is flawed. "His hand slammed into the side of my face as it never had before.."(89) In this passage Minerva has just learned about the second family that her father has. She has lost all respect for him and the slap symbolizes how she feels( thrown of balance) after learning this new info. Celia
(pg 85) "Who is your father?" In this passage I found out that Mierva didnt know who Maria's father. It was like she was losing her memory. For example I felt like I was I was losing my memory when I hit my head hard one time and I almost couldnt remember anything.
